Guest heiko Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 Does anyone know to turn off GPRS on Qtek 8310? Thanks in advance!
Guest Pondrew Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 Hold down the Home button (looks like a house) and it should bring up a quicklist including an option to disconnect GPRS. This will prevent GPRS working until you restart the device (if I remember correctly).
Guest Eagel Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 Does anyone know to turn off GPRS on Qtek 8310? Thanks in advance! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi there. I have a Qtek 8310. When you say turn off GPRS, i am not sure what you mean. The G on the top midle of the screen only mean, that there is GPRS connection in the place you are. The phone only use GPRS when you say so, for exampel mms. There will come a G in the signal bar when you connect to the GPRS connection. Hope this help you

Long press and hold of home button now does nothing. A LONG press of hang up will 'lock' the phone keypad still, but a 'new' feature, at least since my C500 is this: After using GPRS say for example, sending an MMS message, the LITTLE G symbol - the one that appears as part of the signal bars when you actually connect with GPRS - well it stays on still after message is sent. To 'close' the GPRS connection, a single normal short press of the hang up button will end the GPRS connection, and this might suit what the OP was asking. As I prefer to KNOW when I am conencted using GPRS, even if it MIGHT not be doing anything or costing me - I still prefer to know that No Current Connection, means NO COST *lol* Edited November 12, 2005 by shadamehr

The only thing to turn off the GPRS today is to switch to flight mode but this is not a solution only a workaround. I really hope there is solution for this. Edited November 13, 2005 by heiko
