Guest mlimbert Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 Hey there Happy new owner of an MDA Vario on T-Mobile. First real problem I have come across is this. I have set up two email accounts in IMAP moe which I can happily send and receive on manually. I have tried setting the accounts so that they automatically check for new emails every X minutes (from 1 to 60) but nothing appears to happen. I have tried the config for them using 'The Internet' and 'T-Mobile Internet' as the connection, but still no joy. It works on my C500 on Orange. Anybody any ideas for what could be causing the issue? Thanks in advance, if any further info is required, I am ready and willing to post further info. Regards Mark
Guest mlimbert Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 OK, my bad. Moving from the Smartphone OS of the C500, where there is no close program function, to the WM5.0 where there is the usual cross at the top right, it seems I was actually closing the messaging system (I thought programs didn't actually close on WM5.0 unless you ended them manually?). Anyway, by going Start->Today to get back to the homescreen instead of closing the messaging app, the emails are checked correctly as scheduled. A litle annoying, but until I find an alternative...
