Guest gantcliff Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Hi all, A have a C500 as a company phone, and the way the company network functions is that once you answer a call you have to press the * key before you can talk to the person calling. Unfortunately, if the C500 is locked when you answer a call, you have to unlock it first using the normal softkey # combo, then press * before you can speak. This means I miss calls on a regular basis when my fingers aren't quick enough..... If I could make the phone so that the keys unlocked after you answer a call it would make life a lot easier. I've had a look at a few key-lock manager programs around, but can't seem to find one that does the job. Any thoughts? :?: gantcliff
Guest foxcot Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Strange, I don't have this problem with my c500. When it's keypad is locked I can answer by pressing the Green receive button. Have you thought about selecting the "any key answer" check box in the phone settings menu? That might do the biz. Dave <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think the original poster knows about this - the problem is that all that does is allow you to press any key to answer a phone call (even when locked). It doesn't actually unlock the keypad. If you require any keypresses after answering the call (ie. in the OP's case, pressing a * key I think), then it doesn't work - they handset is still locked. The any-key-answer option, just means that rather than pressing Green to answer, any key will answer. Doesn't get around the unlocking the keypad option. D
