Guest No5 Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 I've never been part of the "download ringtone" culture, so I have little experience of this. Help! I need some loud, conventional ringtones to replace the inaudible standard tones used on the M5000 for both phone calls and alarms. I've tried everything on the standard menus, but they are all pretty hopeless - spend a day in a noisy place like London, and i find I've missed nearly every call, text and alarm that has come in. I understand that I just have to download some tones to the relevant folder in ActiveSync, and then transfer them across. The download part of the Orange website doesn't list the M5000, and it doesn't even have tones for any related HTC devices such as the M2000 or 550. I don't want to subscribe to a pay website, which is all I can seem to find via Google, I just need two or three basic loud ring types. Where can I find something compatible?

You can use .wav .wma and .mp3 all you need to do is sync the device up to your pc, and copy to the rings folder. Or you can download an app that lets you specify which folder to use to store them in. PPcprofiles does this I think. Hope this helps!
Guest No5 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Yes - I understand more or less how to install a sound file, but where can i find some "standard" mobile ring tones? I've searched about ten websites, but whilst they have hundreds of pop tunes, etc, none of them seem to list a basic Nokia ring or similar. :?:
