Right got o2 Exec last week and was sad it was slow so did the Corporate install and took all the o2 stuff off as per other ideas around here. Any how in o2 mode battery was at top....some o2 thing when finally into Corporate install it sits at the bottom of the screen by connections etc much better any how in the process of adding back in items I'd just lost through the hard reset etc I put back onGRPS monitor that came with the phone - it also takes over the battery monior - NA! didn't like that so good bye and unistalled now my battery icon at the bottom is now longer there! HELP!

Cheers and I like this site so much - keep up the good work everyone!

Moved to Pocket PC Phone Help & Advice (it ain't a Smartphone!)

Unfortunately the only thing I can think of to put right the battery indicator having disappeared on uninstalling some other software would be a hard reset again ;)

Funnily enough my Pocket PC Phone doesn't have a battery display on the Today screen at all. Never has had. It's a Windows Mobile 2003 SE T-Mobile MDA III (HTC Blue Angel). Think traditionally Windows Mobile for Pocket PC Phone hasn't bothered with a battery indicator as standard.

You could get SPB PocketPlus, which has the option of a thin strip at the top of the screen showing battery status (there are probably other free apps too)

With the GPRS monitor thing you can move the icon it puts on the top bar, so if it covers something else you can move it along a bit to some free space

I now know what happens! A default (corporate) install still puts o2 stuff on just no o2 active, in doing this it installs a cab that removes the battery icon! Now after new instal the battery icon is in the system tray and all seems fine but after a soft restart the .cab file must take it over and its not there, even though I can see the images in the windows file manager MOST MOST a pain in the @£$£~$!

Andy

So any idea how to get rid of

CAB: \Extended_ROM\Signed_UNI_Remove_BatteryIcon.sa.CAB

And get the system battery icons back?
