Guest tonycornholio Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 I broke my C550 by dropping it in some coke Direct Line are giving me £220 to spend (not bad, C550 is £120 on PAYG). I want to spend about £300 on a sim-free phone. I don't mind if it's Windows or not (altough I'm bound to get windows recommendations in here), and I'm willing to consider any phone. All I want is a better than average screen, as I wouldn't want to watch video on a 176x220. Expansys have a Nokia 7710, which is a mental looking thing with VGA screen etc for under £300, anyone know if this is any good? Anywhere I can get a HTC Tornado spec phone for under £300? Anywhere I can get an I-Mate JAM spec phone for under £300? (or am I dreaming if I think I can get either for that money). Thanks for any advice I receive.
Guest Pondrew Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 If you're willing to consider a Nokia 7710 (btw, may I say huh?) then why not check out the latest Pocket PC Phones. The HTC Wizard could be exactly what you're look for although it'll use up the whole £300 and then some even if you find a cheap supplier. You should be able to source an HTC Tornado for about £300. This site www.qtekuk.com was mentioned on here recently. Not heard from anyone who has used them so be wary BUT the prices are extremely competitive and the website looks professional. Maybe u should call them to try and assure yourself they are legitimate...
