Given the flop of the "MPX", once identified successor to the mpx200/220 models, and now the focus on the MotoQ / Moto Q, I wonder if that's Motorola's response to smartphones now? Forget handsets, go for a smart"berry" approach directly against RIM?

Motorola / Moto, there's still a market for smartphone handsets! I'm hoping that Motorola either provides at least one more ROM refresh on the mpx220 (for Windows Mobile 5, or at least provide a fully supported ROM with at least Windows Media 10 on it)...

A number of us mpx220 folks would love to utilize subscription music "to-go" services on their MPX220s, but can't yet because we need Windows Media 10...

Either that or they held it off so that they wouldn't hurt Rokr/Itune sales (just a little conspiracy theory)....

That said, maybe Microsoft just needs to release a non-ROM based version of Windows Media 10 that we could run as a regular app our Smartphone 2003 SE editions...

Its funny how they circle around and then try to sell you something that you weren't lookng for. I like chicken.

There are leaked roms that have WM10 but, no MPx220 has been released with this commercially.

I'm not the least bit surprised by this.

I still want a Razr thin flip phone with WM on it. Don't care if it is 5 or 2003 se. (preferance is obvious though :):P)

i still kinda miss my mpx220...

dream device:

mpx220 razr thin, with 2" 240x320 touchscreen and windows mobile 5 - ohhh yeah..

And while we're dreaming, why not a nokia-style swivel so when it's flipped open, you can fold it back on itself and use landscape? I'm gonna get carried away here....

My thought on that is... why would I buy their upcoming product when their existing one is more than slightly flawed? Why would I risk my money again? What can they do for me that will convince me that I should upgrade? Or that I won't get the same issues All Over Again?

Answer: Dunno. But that tactic certainly won't work. They already lost my faith - they need to work to build it back up.
