Guest cello57 Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 Recently my standard USB > phone connector has been unable to plug in correctly - it won't go all the way in to the socket. I've taken it to an Orange shop, who asked if I had an insurance policy and then said wait for a free upgrade in January, and I've had it apart (using instructions from this site, thanks) but cannot see anything that might be obstructing it. End result - flat phone, no sync, old Nokia 6210 back in action . . . can anyone suggesta remedy?
Guest James Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 you cant see anything like a bent pin in there then?
Guest cello57 Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Well there is the standard USB white block with five dots, but apart from that I can't see much at all. Are the connectors on the bottom of this block?
Guest James Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 yes they are.. do you have another mini USB lead to try?
Guest cello57 Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 The guys in the Orange shop tried one and could get no further than me - so I think the problem is in the socket. :-( # I had a similar problem with a miniature camera a year or so back and it was terminal, so I'm not holding out much hope. I'm planning to send the whole device and cables to my father who is better at these things than me.
Guest James Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 ok, well good luck. :) i have never managed to break of those yet, i am surprised you have managed to break TWO! :D
