Guest sychev Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 Did anyone have luck with using a bluetooth stereo headset on their pocket PC Phone? It would be nice to find one that can be used to listen to music as well as talking on the phone without wires. I looked into Motorola Stereo Bluetooth Headset HT820 and Anycom BSH-100 Blue Stereo Headset, but I don't know if they work with SX66 bluetooth (it's not on their list). If you have any suggestions, let me know. Thanks! Denis
Guest Pondrew Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Well, Paul [MVP] suggested today that there's hope for us HTC Blue Angel owners, as apparently our devices with their Broadcom bluetooth stacks are capable of A2DP (necessary to support stereo bluetooth headsets). Apparently you need a High Quality Audio patch which comes with some makes of headset. Surprisingly its been suggested that non of the other Pocket PC Phones and Smartphones with their Microsoft bluetooth stacks can do A2DP (yet?).
Guest sychev Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 OK. Let me start with an apology  : I'm not an expert on the phones/PDA's, so I have no idea what is HTC Blue Angel or the A2DP. So while I apreciate the response, I did not really understand what it said. Are you saing that theoretically there exist a mythical headset that can work with my PocketPC, but no one make it? Or I can get a bluetooth headset if I can find a High Quality Audio patch? I'm sorry if I sound like an idiot, but I just thought there would be a compatible stereo headset (I would think a lot of people want one) for a bluetooth enabled devices. Is it that much different from the headsets used to talk on the phone? Please be gentle....
Guest Pondrew Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 No problem :D The Pocket PC Phone you own, the Siemens SX66 is manufactured by a company called HTC who call the device the HTC Blue Angel. The simple answer to your query is that you should be able to use a stereo bluetooth headset with your Siemens SX66 IF you can get the High Quality Audio patch. I believe it comes with some models of Bluetooth headset but can't be more specific as I don't know myself. Let me know if there's anything else I can tell you :)
