Hot Vario

Any one else noticed their vario getting hot?

I've been using the supplied case and after and hour in my pocket I could cook and egg on the back of the vario.

Should I be concerned.

And another things while i'm posting has anyone else noticed that if you have the vario on while connected to the usb it doesn't really charge the battery. I'm used to a C500 that I would use and it would charge?

it sounds like you may have a faulty wizard there - my k-jam has never gotten hot (even warm!) - and it definitely should be charging from usb, unless perhaps it's very low powered? usb 1.1 on a low powered hub?

I'd look at getting an exchange

Yeah, mine doesn't get hot either. Maybe a little warm when charging, but not hot.

And mine too charges off USB. I charge on USB almost exclusively.

I'll third this. Same as MitchellO, almost exclusively charge on USB and doesn't get hot, a little warm, maybe.

I have noticed that my K-Jam gets ever-so-slightly warmer after using PocketSCUMM, PocketUAE or PocketC64 (obviously quite CPU intensive apps)...

Yeah, after heavy CPU use it might get WARM, but just sitting in your pocket doing nothing getting HOT must be faulty.
