Like most of you I’ve been treating the m5000 very carefully whilst I get to grips with its size and shape.

Tonight I started having trouble putting the SD card into the slot; it seemed to be catching on something although I couldn’t see anything obvious so I started to be even more careful. Just put the stylus away and that jammed too half way in.

Pull the stylus out and along with it comes a small silver piece of metal that has holes and bends and looks rather important to the phone it still works though. Here are some pictures of what came out. Should I send it back to Orange saying “This fell out of my phone give us a new one”?

Well I have just got off the phone to Orange and they are sending a new machine out tomorrow.

Apparently a rattling handset constitutes a faulty handset so they are shipping a brand new one. Well done Orange.

If only eveyone there was as helpfull.

interesting.. i thought lets look inside where the stylus goes..

it has no inner lining. you see the insides.. WOW isn't that STUPID? dirt goes in there etc..

Seems the universal is build way worse then i thought. If you push the stylus in on an angle you are touching the mainboard that cant be right!!

So as advice: be careful when inserting the stylus.. !

hmmm

Orange have just dropped off a new boxed m5000. Now that is proper service. The chap only wanted the m5000 and battery plus charger so I've made another set of headphones two stylus and a spare case.
