advice on qtek rom update version numbers

Hi all,

I got a Qtek 8020 from Holland. The ROM version displayed during startup is v2.1.31.21, and it has Windows Media Player 9. Now Qtek NL has a new ROM update and the version number is v2.1.31.21!

In other words, if I update, I update from v2.1.31.21 but the one on the phone has WMP9 and the update has WMP10. I asked Qtek for a confirmation and explanation, but the reply only said that the update has WMP10.

Since I have never done an update yet, I have some questions about this:

- Is it actually possible to update from one version to another when the version numbers are the same, or should I expect some error message?

- Would anything else have changed aside from the WMP version?

- Does anything change on the phone (settings, programmes, files) as a result of an update?

- Is WMP10 much better than WMP9 or is it not worth the hassle?

Any suggestions are welcome!
