Guest Dark Horse Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 There is a quick and easy solution to enabling Arabic on your smartphone. All you need to do is install Mr Magoo's excellent utility, the Blind Lemon Font Installer from http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=105530&hl= and use the Tahoma font that is installed on your Windows PC. This will change the system font to use Tahoma that has full support for the Arabic typeset. Much easier, better and cheaper than messing around with the official i-Mate Arabizer software because: a. You need a brand new i-Mate handset to access downloads b. The Arabizer suite doesn't work anyway on smartphones Note that this tweak doesn't allow you to compose Arabic SMS but does allow you to view Arabic font in any Smartphone application. Full instructions for using Blind Lemon et al are in the link above. Regards, Dark Horse
