Installing software smartphone 2002

Hello friends of the Smartphone,

I would like to install different kinds of software on my Motorola MPX 200. I'v the

software, but when I unrar it I get different kinds of messages.

Everytime I see a XML setup diretory, but when I click it, nothing happens. Some

software is easy to install it goes without an itch. Often I get the message "can't execute" from the WinRar I use Which seems to be an Diagnostic message] and other times it urars flawlessly but then I get the XML setup with a CAB and I don't know

what to do furtherone.

Would like to hear of read how things are done.

Welcome to the forum :)

You don't need to 'execute' or open an xml file. Simply place it on your phone into \IPSM \Application Data \Home and it will appear in the Hoomescreen list in Settings.

It may well be that you've unpacked a cab file and got the xml and a bunch of other unidentifiable files. It is easy to mistake cabs for WinZip or WinRAR packages.

If this doesn't help it would be helpful to state which software you are having trouble with.
