Not ringing just beeping, same with texts

How do all!

My MDA compact has got into the habbit of just playing the default beep whenever someone rings or i receive a text. When i look at the settings the ringtone is pointing at the correct file but the text notificaion is not, it's pointing at alarm1 (yet it still just plays the default beep) and keeps pointing to that file regardless of which one i try tell it to use.

Any and all suggestions welcome! Cheers!
