Activesync 4.0: Wireless network not available

Hi

When I connect my T-Mobile MDA Vario using USB to my laptop and Activesync starts up, it seems to disable my laptop's wireless network connection, ie I get the message 'Wireless network not available'. On disconnecting the mobile, the wireless network then reconnects and disconnects randomly until the laptop is rebooted. If I connect via IR I don't get this problem, however.

I've tried Microsoft's Activesync 4.0 troubleshooter; reinstalling Windows XP and starting from scratch; and I've also tried Activesync 4.1 (which has appeared on the Microsoft website today) all without success. My wireless router is a Netgear WGR614v5 with WPA-PSK encryption.

I'd be most grateful for any help with this - it's driving me nuts!
