Hi all,

Just got my Vario today, and generally pretty nice (well, once I hard-rebooted and skipped all the tmobile junk which slows it down!), however i do have a few questions which are starting to bug me a bit.

FIrstly, how on earth do you unlock it once you've put the "device lock" on? It's fine if i can see the screen, but once your screen goes into standby there doesnt seem to be any way at all of getting back? i've tried pressing power button, holding it, pressing + holding various other buttons, i just cant get it back at all, but the phone is still on as i can still receive calls.

Secondly, like a few others (yep, i've used search) i'm having some problems with the wifi.

I've got 2 different routers here (on 2 non-overlapping channels) and my PC and iPaq can connect freely so there's no issue with the router setup. They're not encrypted and no password setup, just totally open networks (dont worry, i've got no neighbours for a mile :))

Now the Vario sees the cards in the list but it wont seem to connect to them. IN the wifi adapters page, it shows both networks with "available" but when i click on "connect" it goes .. connecting.... then straight to available again.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

My Vario will not connect to my home network if the router is running in "802.11g only" mode. I have had to enable mixed b/g access on my router and now my Vario connects with no problem. It can handle WEP and WPA-PSK encryption.
