C500 New ROM 4.2.1.4

so, this was a surprise from orange... a new ROM after 2 months of release after the other one!

anyone tried it? What's new?

just installing it on one of my C500 phones...

We've been rockin' the 4.2.1.4 ROM for a couple of weeks now, Tech.

I can't say I've noticed any differences to previous ROMs and don't have any problems with it.

yeh its the same over here - havent noticed any differences but its wierd why after 1-2 months they released another ROM... they usually wait 4+ months or something? and they were also saying that there is no possibility for a NEW ROM to come out due to the new phones (C550) etc...

I think it was just a matter of there being problems with 4.2.1.1 and then 4.2.1.2 leaking out semi-officially and so 4.2.1.4 being the full and finla version.

You can imagine what it's like for them with MoDaCo members hassling them all the time for new updates :)

Like it's been 4 weeks since that was out, where's 4.3 already ? Damn ! :D

Can anyone tell me, I have 4.2.1.1, by any chance, when you use T9, does the 0 key allow you to scroll down through the list of words in the drop down box, or do anything apart from just bring up a "+" sign?

Isn't the 'D' pad used to scroll through items in the list? Surely the '0' key will enter either the '0' or '+' characters? Never noticed it any different from this. So, as far as I'm aware, no...

Pressing the 0 key just confirms the top word in the list and adds + to it.

Why would you want anything different to this ?

Well on the E200, the 0 button scrolls through the other words, which is so much easier than scrolling down.
