What do MXIP files do?

There are 4-5 files sitting in storage (main ph memory) which starts with mxip...and ends with extension .vol such as mxip_lang.vol. I do understand these are some kind of volume files but what the heck is mxip and why do I need these files? I am just curious and will appreciate any help?

these files contains everything from your sms messages to your phone settings.. don't delete them:)
