M500 MP3 Problem

Hi Guys,

Can you help?

Just got my m500 and have tried to put some MP3's on it, the problem is it seems i can only fit 1 or 2 tracks on it. Not got a storage card yet but surely you can fit more on the phone memory. I have not installed any other progs yet.

the phones memory is small on the M500 and it depends how big each mp3 is as well plus the phone needs some memory to run as well , its always better to have them on a sd card as if you fill up the phones memory it slows it down

Remember that the M500 only has 64Mb on-board. This includes all the installed programs and running programs. MP3s are usually about 4-5Mb. My phone is currently using 25Mb (this is reasonably low as almost everything is installed on the memory card) for installed programs and 14Mb for running progams (and it is pretty much idle) so there is only 25Mb free. Install a couple of MP3s and this drops dramatically. Same if you've taken lots of pictures and videos. I know you say you've not installed anything - but you've already got some stuff installed by Orange.
