Guest 17-APG Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 For those of you who are on o2 or BT cell phone contracts i-mate have replaced version 1.3 with version 1.4. This fixes an incorrect setting within the MMS settings.
Guest shadamehr Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Which after I pointed it out to them, they promised to have uploaded on their site last Wednesday the 16th. And they didn't as I downloaded it for my second I-mate on Friday. I emailed them, but no reply. Seems they FINALLY sorted it out... Cheers for the heads up mate.
Guest Harroguk Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 Is there anywhere outside of imate (I am not a member) that I can download these cab files from so I can put the settings onto my SPV C600? Thanks

Guest Harroguk Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 (edited) hmmm, a small problem here. I dl the cab file, moved it to my storage card and tried to run it from within file manager. I then get a message saying that the installation was unsuccessful because I do not have sufficient system permissions. I HAVE application unlocked and de-certed my C600 already. any other sugestions? Does this have to be run on an i-mate ROM or will it work on the default orange ROM too? The C600 is likely worse again, as it's not an 'unlocked' handset. But do a search on this site, as full instructions are on here somewhere.

I couldnt find anything else that I needed to do to unlock the handset. Is there anything else that I should be doing as I cannot find anything else on here?
Guest shadamehr Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Mmm - weird - all I can then think of is that the CAB file from i-mate is checking the CID of the Orange C600 and seeing it as a none i-mate device, refusing to install. Never heard of this before though, with anything other than actual ROM updates themselves, not application installs. But OTHER C600 users, to the best of my belief, have installed this, so I wonder how. Unfortunately, I am not the best person to ask, as I am an actual SP5 user. I would have thought some other users would chip in by now to help you though - come on guys - if you've managed this, help this guy out and post here...

What firmware you running?

Guest Harroguk Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Okay then, I have now flashed the ROM to the Orange AKU2 one they just released. As was expected it immediatley locked down my phone again so I emailed orange for their official unlock tool and used that. Now that I have unlocked it this way it has taken the cab file first time. Thanks go to Little Potato Head for getting the file for me.
