Guest Rulz Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 (edited) Allow me to get to the point quickly: - I have an unbranded MPX220 (I think it's origin is somewhere in Asia) and I've got it since new. Problems: 1) The microphone (mic) mutes itself when making a call, so I have to press MENU and then UNMUTE to be able for the person that I'm calling to hear me. Is there some registry fix for that? 2) I can't upgrade ROM to earlier versions other than 1.32 or older (i.e. my only working versions are 1.29, 1.25 and 1.32). When I try to upgrade to the latest ROM the phone takes a long time to start and the start menu become unaccesible (it dorps me out to home screen every 4 or 5 seconds). Anybody knows what the heck is happening? 3) Whenever I change to any language different than english, the keypad seems to not recognize letters anymore, I can only type numbers. Please need feedback other than "Upgrade to the latest ROM" or "Take your phone to Motorola for exchange it". I've confidence these problems can be solved by editing the registry, somewhere in "engineering mode" or maybe with a SDK (software development kit). I need your expertisse. I've never owned an MPX200 so I'm not sure about the mic and keypad questions. Does the latest ROM fix the problem ?
