Guest b0bby Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 (edited) This sucks my c500 is only like 11 months old, that really isnt that old tbh is it :/ the external speaker decided to die yesterday when i was playing a recorded voice note. Now I cannot hear ringtones/sms, alarm or put people on speaker phone. If i plug the headphones in the jack, they work fine. does anyone know what the speaker is...? i might be able to get a replacement component from RS and fit it. iv managed to get to the speaker. Is it under warranty at www.htceurope.com? Have you checked? If not I can supply a replacement entire assembly including camera CCD or just the speaker. And I'm in Manchester a lot. :) Richard
Guest athenix Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 @Bobby I have a similar problem with the speaker and it is also mechanical. But I envy you, you still had 11 months to enjoy the sound, mine died after a month and I'm still using it now relying only on vibrate mode for me to notice incoming calls or alerts. Please tell me how you fixed yours. I sure would love to hear sounds again from my phone.
