Guest someone Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 This week I recieved the stunning Qtek 8310 (Dutch retail). Today I was playing a bit with the camera, and I saw the Qtek's screen was displaying some strange flashing at the corner of my notebook. After some confusing moments I came to the conclusion that the Infra Red port of my notebook was turned on and the camera of my 8310 seems to record the IR pulses! I tried it with the remote control of my TV and, yes, the same result. I recorded it on video, as you can see in the attachment. Now my big question is...when does there come out a program which optimizes IR sensivity, so you can look through clothes...? :)VIDEO_001.zip

Guest Zone-MR Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 (edited) All digital cameras I've seen do this :) Useful for debugging problems with remote controls or other IR devices. Unfortunately it will only be sensitive to near-IR, not far-IR, which means that it won't let you see in the dark or visualise body heat. Edited November 24, 2005 by Zone-MR
Guest James Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 yep, digi cameras have always been able to do this.
