Guest dantheman1 Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 hello everyone, I just recived my audiovox smt 5600 and think its absolutely awesome. I do, however, have a couple questions. The first question is, how do you send files through file explorer using bluetooth? If i click on an item and press send, i only have two options. I can send it through email or IR, but i really would like to use bluetooth. I was also wondering if there was a shortcut to lock the keypad. The only way i figured out how was to press the power button then press lockpad, but i would rather there be some kind of keypad shortcut or something. My next question is how do i place a timer on a profile? I would like a profile to automatically switch to something else at a specified time. If its not built in, is there some kind of third party app? Thanks for your time, Dan
Guest cubik Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 The first question is, how do you send files through file explorer using bluetooth? The built in File Manager application doesn't support sending files over bluetooth. However, there are third party applications such as Binarys Smart Explorer do. I was also wondering if there was a shortcut to lock the keypad. Press and hold the 'call end' key... My next question is how do i place a timer on a profile? If you set your profile to 'Automatic', you can use the built in calendar to swap into 'Meeting' profile. Though I gather you are really after an application that would change to a profile you have specified. I'm not sure that such an application exists (yet) thought I'd be pleased to be proven wrong.
Guest dantheman1 Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 thankyou cubik very, very much. Those were the answers i was looking for. You ROCK!
Guest dantheman1 Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 sorry, i have another quick question. How do arrange the icons in the start menu a certain way?
Guest cubik Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 How do arrange the icons in the start menu a certain way? There are a number of methods for doing this, though they all manipulate the registry. Smatione is very easy to use and provides a simple interface to your phone menu ordering (among other things). Once installed and launched (will complain that it has expired but will work anyway) navigate through the tree: Tweaks, Interface, Start order. Once there, you'll have two lists. The left hand lists all the available shortcuts. the right hand lists the order of the programs in the first page* of your Start Menu. *You can only arange the shortcuts on the first page of the Start Menu. So there's really no need to place any more than eight shortcuts into the right hand list. Once you've dragged the items around, click the save button... you may need to reboot your phone to see the results. As for the rest of the shortcuts, you can use a the built in file manager to put create folders and move the shortcuts into them - as you like.
Guest dantheman1 Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 thanks again! worked perfectly
