Guest My_Immortal Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 (edited) I have quite a serious problem!! My mpx220 changes to Headset Profile and then -after 3-5 seconds- switches back to the one it was. I've tried EVERYTHING! I took it to the service, tey upgrade my ROM to the latest, they tried to find the problem in the hardware but everything seemed fine. Then, I tried to edit the registry. I erased the Headset Profile, but the problem remained (obviously you can't erase this profile permanently). It's SO annoying because it slows down the menu scroll and most importantly, when I talk, me and the one I talk with hear a *click* and then silence and then *click* and back to normal! Can somebody help me??????????????????? (Sorry for my bad English, I am from Greece.. 8)) Edited November 24, 2005 by My_Immortal
Guest m1.carson Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 Hi, Something to try, plug your headset in and out a few times gently, it could be a sticky switch, there were headset problems on some of the older headphone sockets.
Guest My_Immortal Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 (edited) Thank you so much for the reply! :) But I have tried it so many times already! And if there was a problem with the socket, wouldn't it be obvious to the man in the service who tried to repair it? He claimed nothing was wrong in the inside of the phone. It's been going on for 1 month now... I'm DESPERATE  and MAD  EDIT: It's finally fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It seems that the man in the service actually did not bother to check it out carefully. There was a small metal in the socket that has been moved -perhaps I violently removed my handsfree at some point- and caused the whole problem. I discovered it and put it back to its place and everything is fine now! 8) Edited November 25, 2005 by My_Immortal
