Guest ScreenGuy Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 I'm confused. I have had my 8310 for two weeks now, and the battery life is unpredictable to say the least. I've had it last for four days. I've had it last for not even 24 hours. And yesterday, it ran dry after eight hours -- although I didn't use it for more than a minute, tops! (...and I know for certain I didn't use it, since I've lost my voice completely due to a nasty cold. Which makes any phone calls quite useless...) In order to establish why this happens, I've turned off all automatic connections to my POP email. So it's not about GPRS usage. I live downtown Stockholm, and the connection meter shows full. So it shouldn't be about that either. Does anyone experience the same? What kind of battery life does everyone have? /SG. Also: Does anyone know if using twin SIM cards can affect the phone/battery in any way? I'm using Swedish Vodafone, and I have two SIM cards (one in my old phone, so that I can bring one I'm less careful with, without having to switch SIMs all the time) Thankful for any input.
Guest gilesjuk Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 It does seem weird yes. A lot more unpredicatable the the C500/SP3.
Guest jolly Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 i had this problems in connection with the task-plugin on the homescreen. as long as it was acitve on my homescreen it didn't last longer than 1 day. after turning it off everything was okay.
Guest saldous Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Is the SP5 and the Qtek 8310 the same phone? I can get the Qtek for £285.99 SIM Free from here: http://www.phones2udirect.com/Products/typ...5/NetworkID/280 the SP5 one is £297.00 but they don't have it in stock. So I am looking at the cheaper Qtek version.
Guest roma0803 Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 ScreenGuy, what kind of plugins are you running on your homescreen? This behaviour is not normal.
Guest Vulpix Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Hmmm, anyone having problems with huge battery drainage with Papyrus? My battery life improved drastically after removing it.
Guest roma0803 Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Nope, I use Papyrus since one of the first beta's and still have very good batterylife with my SP5m. I use Papyrus frequently, no problem here.
Guest Vulpix Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Damnit, I can't seem to find out what is draining my battery so quickly... I don't have any home theme plugin, only a few basic software...
