Guest ashley Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 Just received my M1500 yesterday and have been geting problems with the GPRS. Basically, on start up GPRS connects finew, but once it is disconnected it won't reconnect unless you reset or go in and out of flight mode. I've seen this reported with the M500 and remember the problem with my original SPV back in the days. Surely after three yesra they have fixed this problem? Orange recommended i return the phone, but where does that leave me? Do i switch to another phone that may have the same problem? As a work around, how long do the M1000/2000's batteries last if you hack it so that GPRS stays connected permanently?

The devices themselves would only last about two days at the best of times and with GPRS constantly connected I imagine it would barely last 10hrs. Sorry to hear there may be a bug. Keep us updated.
Guest ashley Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 oops. should have updated this I had the phone replaced and tested it and it worked fine for a while. Then I installed all my old programmes and it showed the same fault again, so i basically deduced it was spb gprs monitor interfering with the connection. After another hard-reset and without installing the gprs monitoring, it has been fine for over a month. Ashley
