Hi,

can some one tell me where i am going wrong ?

I am using DVD decrypter to extract the vob files from the dvd and then pocketDivxencoder to convert.

When I extract the files not all of them are recognised by pocketdivx, just the odd one or two (trying to convert a series of episodes) and the ones I do convert are slightly out of sync.

If any one has any suggections or a better way I would be most grateful.

You are best using IFO mode in DVD decrypter. You can change 'File split=None' in the IFO settings to output a single VOB file.

Which files are not recognised ?

What are you using to code the VOB file ?

you are best opening an .ifo along the lines of video_1_01.ifo or something similar. videots.ifo opens mostly the main menu and sometimes can send the converter horrid.

most of the extra files that cannot be read are files that contain menu information, and also extras like THX sound set-ups ect.
