receiving no service or searching spv c500

can any body help, i have got a orange spv c500 which is application unlocked and sim unlocked by using the spv services, the problem im getting now is when i put in my o2 sim card and switch on the phone it takes ages to find the network, then comes up with no service and eventually searching and remains like that without finding the o2 network.

up until this problem, the o2 sim and spv c500 were working fine apart from it took a while to get the service up.

i have updated my spv to the new version software found on orange prior to this do i need to do a hard reset to solve this or does anybody have any ideas

Have you checked Settings-Phone-networks ?

Make sure the network selection is set to automatic.

You could try setting to manual and then back to automatic.

Also try using Menu-Select a network.
