Guest DancingMatt Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 Hi I heard that if you log into the My T-mobile part of T-mobile's site, you can send texts to any mobile from there for free. So on a Web & Walk tariff, with 40Mb data, this would save on me buying texts right? Although I admit it's not as convenient as doing it directly on the Wizard. Haven't registered with My T-mobile (or even got my Vario yet ) so that's why I'm asking - what's the deal with texting from there then? Ta DM
Guest mr_naughty Posted December 15, 2005 Report Posted December 15, 2005 (edited) I believe that to use the T-Mobile website you have to log in, and that the SMS messages you send are deducted from your call plan. You need a free internet>sms gateway. There are some around, I found this one, but haven't tried it: http://uk.dadamobile.com/splash/specialoffer_uk2.html Updated: Ok, there are a few choices. You can pre-buy a pack of messages from an outfit like this lot:http://www.intellisoftware.co.uk/ The HTTP interface would be easy to use, as you could setup a URL on each of your contacts. However, the savings will be marginal on T-Mobile's own packages. The other option is to use a totally free service like this one: http://www.cbfsms.com/ But then you have to  remember people's phone numbers  Edited December 15, 2005 by mr_naughty
