Guest SCAN2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 I have an O2 XDA II at the moment with Tom Tom Navigator 5.1 (5160) but it is a bit bulky to use as a phone and so I carry a Siemens A55 PAYG for making/receiving calls so I end up carrying two devices around. I like the look of the Vario and could use it for pda use AND phone as well as it looks a bit smaller then the XDA II and it looks (from other posts on here) like Tom Tom Nav 5 will work on the Vario OK. Has anyone else made this switch or is thinking about it - I'd appreciate peoples thoughts on this? Thanks, S.
Guest Pondrew Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Moved to Pocket PC Phone Help & Advice. I think the move would be a good one as long as you remember that not all Pocket PC software will work on the new Windows Mobile 5 os. Also, I believe you'd need to update your TomTom to version 5.2 for it to be compatible with WM5...
Guest rand Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 I had an xda IIs machine and sold this due to the size. Loved the unit and the wifi option. I have ordered my Vario and i should have this sometime today. I like the new version of the operating system and like the size of the new phone, the only thing i am not happy about is the fact the phone does not support 3G as the faster internet would be a big bonus. I will post back my comments when i have had the phobe a few days
