Since the latest version of Sprite Backup does not work on WM2005, someone mentioned that Sprite Backup 1.0 does work. However, the people who make the software do not offer Sprite Backup 1.0 on their website.

Is there any legal way to get this software? I'm a registered user of Sprite Backup 2.1

Or is there another backup software that works on WM2005? I need to backup both files and registry. I can use the signed PHM Registry Editor to backup the registry, but I would still need a solution for the files.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have too much faith in that though... they haven't released even a bugfix update in months, and there have been a decent amount of pretty big bugs reported.

Looks like I've proven myself correct :-) Sprite still hasn't even released a beta...

Anyone have any clues on backup software?

well wat exactly do you want the backup software for....i spent ages looking for a decent backup program, however, i realized i didnt really need it. most stuff can be reinstalled and contacts can be backed up via quicken.

I use it because I do a lot of ROM upgrades, as well as 'playing' with the ROM... and it's takes quite a while to restore everything... all my settings, all my registry entries, etc. My start menu, the applications. I can manually back up files and much of the registry, but that takes a LOT of time out of my day just to do that. It was a lot nicer when there was an application to do it for me.

I like having the ability to restore in 5 minutes rather than the 5 hours it takes me to re-customize everything.

Not sure if this will help or not, but you may want to check out the the utils in contained in the itsme (although it does not claim compliance with WM5):

Hope this helps!
