Guest paul007 Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Hello, I have a simply question: what OpenNETCF and .NET Compact Framework are? What is the difference between them? How to use them? Thanks a lot for your replies.
Guest Tech Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 (edited) .NET compact framework is the official Microsoft framework - RECOMMENDED TO USE. the other one is just pretty much adding additional features to the framework... kind of not really Microsoft approved. Use at your own risk. That's the only difference. To use the Microsoft .NET framework you need VS.NET. The mobile device must also have .NET CF - generally they do. Simply create a Mobile device application, activesync your phone and away you go! :) Edited November 27, 2005 by Tech
Guest schriss Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 what about SP2002 which does not come with MS .NET CF and we can't install that, so can we install OpenNETCF?
Guest Tech Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 nope. for devices that are WM2002 then no - you cannot install either of it
