unreadable text messages.. SPV500. help please

HI , I would be really grateful if anyone could help me on this one.

I have recently unlocked my SPV500 ( thanks for that everyone) I now use an O2 sim and that is working great :)

However, my phone has now started a random thing where I can read who the text is from and the first line but when I open it it's blank . :evil:

This doesn't happen all the time or eveytime from a certain person . If I go to forward the text I can read it all .

Can anyone shed some light on this one for me please, I would really appreciate it.

Hello, please please please can someone help.

I can't go back to orange about the problem as unlocked phone and then left. It is now randomly refusing to send messages too and just locks up ..

has anyone else had this problem ..?

MAYBE, you should hard-reset the phone - THIS WILL TURN IT INTO FACTORY SETTINGS, and it may also network-lock itself, but I don't know.

To factory reset, Start>Accessories>Clear Storage

A hard reset won't re lock you device so don't worry there.

Unfortunately I'm not familar with this problem so a hard reset might be the only solution. Remember it'll be restored to it's out of the box state (ie you'll lose all documents/settings/apps on the device itself).

Can I ask a thick question on this please. If I do a hard reset and all info is stored on my PC ( photos, contacts, sms messages etc) when I resync will it all download back onto the phone?

Well you'll have to transfer everything yourself from phone to PC first, then PC to phone after hard reset e.g. from \storage\my documents will contain photos, you just transfer them back.
