Guest munky^^ Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Got an upgrade phone from Orange, and it came with a new sim. I called them to ask what I should do with the new sim, and got some weird answerphone reply where the guy said the new sim is 'paired' with the new phone and I have to change to using that SIM with that phone, and then he said something about calling them to change to the new sim. Sounds like a load of bolony to me, could anyone confirm please? I want to sell the new phone (SPV C550). Presumably there'll be no problem with just keeping my current phone (SPV C500) and sim? Thanks for any info.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 If you have just upgraded then the old phone is yours to do whatever you want, but under the new upgrade contract the C550 does not technically belong to you until you finish this contract. Quite a few people sell upgrade phones but remember if you canceled for any reason you would either have to pay up or hand the phone back. As for the SIM from what I gather it's just an updated version of your old SIM and should be used.
Guest munky^^ Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Can I use the new SIM in my old phone?
Guest Pondrew Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Yep. U shouldn't have any trouble. I've got a new upgrade in the past and passed it to a family member while using the new sim (once activated) in an old phone.
Guest pisquee Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 A few upgrades i have had where i have not bothered using the new SIM, and just swapped the old SIM out of old phone into new one with no problems.
