Is the personality of your battery formed...

Well, I'm asking this, because I've just got a brand new (sealed) C500 from an Orange shop, and this is how it happened:

-I inserted the battery, switched it on, I think the battery was about 80% (factory set I believe)

-Switched it off at 76%, put it on charge for four and a half hours.

-Now use it normally, and it's personality is as follows:

-From 100% to 50%, it goes very slowly, after that, it falls fairly quickly, and then rapidly after 20% (compared to how it was between 100 to 50%)

-I've also found, on one charge that I did, I charged it (from 35% I think) to 79% (using USB), took it off charge, switched it off, went to sleep, woke up and switched it back on, and the battery level was 100%. Does this suggest that I should charge it less (to perhaps 90%) because the battery is already full, or should I continue to charge to the "real 100%"?

One more point, does keeping the "Receive Incoming Beams" option in Start>Settings ticked reduce battery life by any amount?
