Guest stevem999 Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 I have an MPX220 with a Motorola BT headset (HS820 I think) which all works swimmingly, however I'd like to invest in a TomTom Mobile solution with the BT GPS unit. Can I use these two BT devices at the same time and take calls etc when the GPS is connected? Or do I have to disconnect headset for the GPS to work? Likewise, can the directions from the Sat Nav software be routed through my headset rather than through the speaker on the phone? I've searched the web and a lot of forums but can't find a definitive answer. Many thanks.

With my MPX220 I used a BT GPS in combination with a Nokia Carkit that used the Headset profile of the phone without issues. I do not know if the output of TomTom is routed through your headset, it wasn't through the speaker of the Carkit. So you can use both at the same time without problem and take calls normaly. Just the TomTom voice thing I don't know.
Guest MrCeee Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Hello, It works for me when using my Parot CK3000 and TomTom with a C500 (most of the time, sometimes the audio breaks up and stops working until I reset the phone but not very often and only since updating the software to the latest Orange ROM) TomTom slows down and is not useable during a voice call but springs back into life after the call is ended. The only thing that I would like would be to get TomTom to route the audio through Bluetooth allowing the car kit to mute my head unit so I can hear instructions but its just about useable now if I turn it down when I don't know where I am. Hope this helps, Chris
