SmartphoneNotes 2.0

Can't get Syncdata's SmartphoneNotes to work on my i-mate SP5m (WM5). Get the unresolved items message. Seem to be able to sync from phone to desktop but not from desktop to phone. It sees the notes, but doesn't sync. Have created a new .pst and even did a hard reset of the phone (I had to do that anyway). Nothing happens, all notes are unresolved.

Someone a suggestion while I wait for a reply from the developer?

try activesync 4.1,,,works fine for me :-), try reloading after you have installed 4.1 on your PC

Hi again. I don't know if this helps. I have Smartphone Notes on my SP5 and it works OK both ways using Activesync 4.0. Have you got the upgrade to support

Windows Mobile 5.0 from the Syncdata site? :|

Thanks all for the reply. I think I found the problem. There seemed to be something wrong with my Office installation. Though everything worked fine and all files where in the correct place, somewhere in the registry something was wrong. A repair and even an uninstall, registry clean and new install didn't solve the matter.

I found this out when installing an new backup program. For some strange reason this program couldn't find my .pst files with the macro that came with it. I than concluded that something in the registry wasn't pointing programs in the right direction when it comes to Outlook. Some programs didn't have a problem with it and some, like SmartphoneNotes and the backup app, apparently where.

Since synchronization by ActiveSync was buggy too, contacts with pictures didn't sync and appointments with additional notes didn't sync to my phone, I decided to go for the format-c: option. Do a fresh install of everything and now everything works like a charm. Even AS isn't buggy anymore and synchronizes everything I was used to with v3.8/WM2003.

Now what caused the registry corruption I don't known, but -and this ofcourse is not new to us- a fresh install took a lot of frustration away.

Thanks for your support guys.
