Guest tdp Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Hello all. Just got my replacement M5K (keyboard and 5 way pad failed after 1 day). Anyway, I'm happy with the device. Anyway, I have seen lots of good threads on hear talking about good apps to use. I thought it might fun to cover some games. For a machine that is clearly not designed for games, you can still a lot of fun with it. Personal Recommendations Darklaga - runs a little slow - is very playable (may be even better with o/c'ing) Street Duel - PSX graphics and gameplay - runs at about 12-15 fps Michael Schumacher Racing World Kart 2002 - another PSX style racing game Racing days - fun to play - have to use the buttons on the front of the pda All of the above games run well enough to be very playable, I suspect o/c'ing would improve the gaming experience. It has been noted that all of the above run noticably better when installed internally, rather than on an SD card (admittedly my 1gb card is very slow). Any other recommendations .................. please add them here.
Guest HEKTIK Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Hmmmmm Ive got about 30 installed on my 1Gb SD card but it takes nearly a minute to show the icons when I go into the games menu!! Girders and Farkle come to mind first although lots of the Astraware games also look very promising too. Obulis 2 was also good but gets frustratingly hard after a while...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Any reviews I do for the Pocket PC will be from the Universal so that may help.
Guest tdp Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Could someone recommend good overclocking software for the M5000? At a guess, I suspect an additional 50-75Mhz would make the games I have tried run more smoothly.
