smt5600 question

I have an audiovox smt 5600 w/ cingular and also the cingular nokia something- it's the free one. anyways- the cheapo phone gets better service than my smt5600 and I'm wondering if there is a way to get better service on my phone. they're both cingular phones, no external antenna- so i'm not sure why one phone has service while at the same time same place the other doesn't.... Thank you very much!!

Occasionally hardware differences in mobiles result in different signal strengths. Wouldn't worry about it too much as long as the SMT5600 is still useable.
