Hi there

I have a c500 and I am very happy with it apart from one thing. Approximately 10 times a day I get a nice lady telling me

"memory is low"

I find I am constantly going into taskmanager and killing applications, but the RAM still leaks and eventually I have to reboot.

this has caused me lots of problems, for example I was at the england 3 - argentina 2 match in geneva recently and trying to video "god save the queen" at half time I initially couldnt start the video camera due to low memory.. and when I killed all other apps and started the video I got the lovely woman saying "memory is low".. which you can hear when you play the video back!

This is really getting me down, as apart from that the phone is excellent, especially as I have just got tomtom mobile working.

I have battery pack pro as my home screen, and something tells me this is responsible for me having low memory, but I do like this product.

Could anyone help me with this problem?

regards

Dave

Buy a memory (512MB or 1GB) and save all videos, photos, games, etc on that memory. That will free up the memory space on your phone.

Hi

I have a 512meg card, but I dont think my problem is caused by storage space.. I beleive this is a RAM issue.

I have moved all apps, movies, pics etc to card when I first installed it.

There must be a way of fixing this, as it is a quite serious issue.

thanks

Dave

It does sound as though something you have installed has a memory leak. I'd try upgrading to the latest ROM and try it fresh. If that's ok, then install apps one at a time til you find the culprit.

I also have task manger on speed dial. Simply hold number 8, then press 2 to kill all apps. Quick and easy. It does seem like the latest ROM's have better memory management.

yes of course, its def 100% recording to the card.. but this is NOT a storage problem, its a RAM problem so where I store the videos doesnt really matter

Griff_FFOC, thanks for the advice I am already uninstalling apps and starting from scratch.
