Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Either i've missed the rollout or i'm lucky enough to be in the first area NTL to have my 3Mb broadband upgraded to 10Mb next week, and the price reduced to £35 a month! www.ntlworld.com/10 Anyone else heard about this?
Guest Tech Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 yes, all blueyonder have this also from last month :) same with NTL however there will be no cap taken off or increase of usage of downloading! bonus for blueyonder as they do not put capping! :D
Guest Pondrew Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Yep, benefited from Blueyonder upgrading our Broadband to 10meg. Excellent even if I do suspect the wifi network in the house is slowing things...
Guest peekie Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 another 10mb to catch up the rabbit :) :D
Guest shadamehr Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 another 10mb to catch up the rabbit :) :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}>What you got then peekie? And is it cable or adsl, capped, or uncapped...? Share with us mate?

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 What's the upload speed with th 10mb ntl?
Guest robbiehales Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 I have just recently left NTL due to the very very poor customer service, shame as i would have loved 10Mb broadbabnd !! although when i told them i was leavin the did offer me free broadband for a year, free TV for 6 months and no phone line rental for 6 months !! amazing what they will do to keep the ever increasing number of customers who are off to other companies.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Upload is 512k. Download limit is 75GB a month, even our house will struggle to trash that (we've never had any issues with the current 30GB cap :))

Luvin 10MB.
Guest rodg98133 Posted December 11, 2005 Report Posted December 11, 2005 I have recently moved house and have just signed up with sky, Tiscali and BT and am now wishing I hadn't. Anyone know of any way to get out of my 12 month contracts?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 11, 2005 Report Posted December 11, 2005 Only way is to pay it up or claim yourself as bankrupt.
Guest Rob.P Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 I was well pleased when I got my 10MB upgrade I think it happened on Friday but the oil depot fire knocked out the NTL services for Hemel on Monday, have just got it back, so not sure what speed it's running at at the moment :)

Guest Rob.P Posted December 15, 2005 Report Posted December 15, 2005 Flipping chav kids smoking down an alley and threw their butts over the wrong wall, bang I get woken up at 6am on a SUNDAY morning cause of it :D :) and I had to put up with staying in doors all day with no internet! (Hats of to the emergency services, especially the FB and especially not the FBU)
Guest JamShady Posted December 15, 2005 Report Posted December 15, 2005 Woohoo, I upgraded to 10Mb, and got it half price for a year :)
Guest fraser Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 I've got the 10 meg as well, it's blisteringly fast. Can download a 30 minute TV episode in four minutes!! It's rumoured that while the cap is 75G, you won't get hassled unless you go way over for two or more consequative months. Mind you, NTL have a letter from me on file from three years ago stating that I will leave their phone, cable and internet service the day I ever receive a warning over usage. I'm guessing their retentions department will be able to cancel any warnings I get. :) (not that I download a lot, I just don't want to have to worry about these things)
Guest JamShady Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 Yeah, I download very little, usually game trailers from IGN or something. But when I'm downloading something, I want it NOW! And I'm sure it's handly for Xbox Live too :)
Guest amo Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 Ive upgraded to 10Mb too - now just need something to abuse/test out this connection on... any ideas?
