Guest xGrape Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 One thing I really miss from my SonyEricsson days, is the ability to make a notes file, and "hang it up" on the standby display (home screen). Can this be done in some way on Windows Mobile 5? Think of it as an electronic post-it note or to-do list :)
Guest drblow Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 I hear you there! :D I would ove to see something like that, but unfortunately there is nothing exactly like you describe. My best solution so far is to use SBSH papyrus calendar app & the facade plugin, which allows you to display multiple appts & tasks onscreen, so within a few clicks I can create a note as a heading for an appt/task, and it is then displayed in my homescreen via facade. Have a look at my DrBlowGV screen for an example of what I mean, and links to the necessary goodies (I think). :)
Guest xGrape Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 Thanks, it would work. But I think that until there is a smoother solution, I'll stick with adding keywords as "appointments" to my calendar. Yes I'm limited to one line (on home screen), but until it becomes a problem (might be soon enough), it will have to do. I'll check out your solution later if it becomes nessecary:)

Am I to understand that you need to use Papyrus to manage appointments/tasks, in order to have them displayed via Facade? Or can I use the built-in calendar/task manager in WM5? Else, it does indeed work "ok" with the built-in calendar, setting an appointment one year ahead in time, and having it displayed on the home screen.
Guest SinisterJunkie Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 Papyrus is not required to use Facade. Both get the Appointment and Task information from the standard default databases that are used by the standard applications. Papyrus has a lot of capabilities that are way beyond what is possible with the standard Calendar application but it is not necessary to use Facade.
