Change boot logo?

I'm using my SPV550 on O2 now, is there any way to change the boot screen logo, which is currently very Orange?

Not sure if this will work because I've never tried it but overwrite the file Windows\OrangeShutdown.jpg with another file. It needs to be 240px wide by 320px High as the C550 has the new QVGA screen.

I'd recommend backing up your phone before you try this...

That's certainly the image I'm talking about but I can't believe it's getting it from there at boot time - it displays it too soon, surely the filesystem isn't running then. I'd expect it to live in the boot rom somewhere.

Changing this image will change your Orange logo .. however, Ive just tried it and when it starts up you get the Orange Logo appear, and when you close down you get the image you've uploaded to that directory

If you change your logo but have not saved your original, then I have attached the original.

just an update on my last post.

When you've changed the boot image and turn the fone off - u will indeed so your new image.

However, when the phone boots back up u dont see it - and then when u close the fone down a second time it has reverted back to the orange logo.

Just checked my phone and it seems that the new image i uploaded overwriting the old orange one has re-written the logo somehow to go back to the old orange one! even though I have kept the same filename etc..
