Guest rasncain Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 I just got my SMT 5600 and an unlimited Cingular medianet account. Isn't there a way to get activesync to work over GPRS with an exchange 2003 server? I think I have setup everything but activesync fails, says to verify my dialup and proxy settings or something. I don't think I have dialup settings. I assume activesync is trying to create a connection using this "dialup" setting connection that does not exist. It does not appear a dialup connection is even established so I dont think the problem is with the exchange server or anything just yet. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Guest wallace_SMT5600 Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 I believe you need Outlook Mobile Activesync (OMA) configured in Exchange Server. I'm dealing with this at work right now.

Done it many times for various corps and the biggest issue is always the corp's firewall not allowing the conversation. (The ActiveSync bit itself is relatively painless.)
