ActiveSync..........how long?

How long should it take to sync your MDA Vario on the first sync..............

This has been going on for nearly an hour!!!

That's far too long - unplug it and start again.

Two minutes max unless you have thousands of contacts or something.

Does it say connecting all the time?

cos when I used Active Sync 4.0 ( off the T-Mobile CD) I would sit for ages and just display connecting

if then unpluged it and reconnected it, windows wouldnt regonise the Vario untill next PC reboot, so I downloaded Active Sync 4.1 of the Mircosoft site and now it seams to work ok :)

try downloasing 4.1 of Microsofts website and see if that fixes it
