Guest megafortress Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 Hi folks new member here. I have an O2 branded xphone(asian import), think it is the htc voyager! Last night my phone froze up and i couldnt use anything on it. managed to get it to the bootloader stage which said it was smartphone 1.07.01 or something like that  Anyhow after browsing this site i found out how to hard reset the phone and now its working fine. could this have been solved with a soft reset and if so how do you do one. 1 final question-this 1.07.01 rom is it worth while upgrading to a newer one and if so which would be the best. Thankyou :) :D ;) :D :)
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 19, 2005 Report Posted December 19, 2005 Welcome to the forum :) A 'soft reset' usually means nothing more than switching the phone off then on again, so that wouldn't have helped you. I'm sorry I have no idea if there are any updates for the Xphone software but would try looking at your local o2 website for information.
Guest Geeklord Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Just to clarify, a soft reset on the E200 is turing the phone of, removing the battery for >30secs then restarting. :) @megafortress: I had a vaguely similar experience as you and I traced it to a faulty app. I removed the program and it never happened again. Hope that helps
