Hi, I have an MDA Vario which I installed Battery pack pro onto. I have had a few interesting effects.

1. When you switch to the hardware keyboard or back to PDA mode it switches to the Battery Pack pro information screen? Often does the same when the camera button is pushed as well

2. The Vario seems slower?

3. I seem to be getting a significant number of lock ups which require a soft reset, this may not be BP pro?

Has anyone else got BP pro on their Vario? How is it working for you?

Is there an alternative to BP pro (I particulary like task switching, the ability to list and kill running apps and the desktop shortcut icons.

I think it does everything you're after. If it slows your Vario down go to SPB settings and disable Safe Mode.
