Certificate Issue

My work runs a WLAN on 802.11b & g (I guess that means mixed).

The network admin guy says if I download his certificate I should be able to connect my lurvly new Vario to his network.

I can connect and "see" the network as available but that's as far as I get.

So I have obtained his cert - first using GPRS - nothing, and by USB connection from my PC - same thing. It just sits there. Its a .cer file and it should do some install thing I believe.

Network admin guy is very nice but he doesn't want to play with my phone :)

You need to install the certificate and configure your wifi connection settings to authenticate using it.

In your wireless settings tap the enroll tab and put the username and password for your account in, then the url for the issuing certificate authority server. In theory it should be able to connect and pull your cert down, allowing you to connect. Depends on how the network is configured though...
